blog 5 image

There are thousands of bra brands and styles out there. We know because we carry many of them. So, how should you narrow down which brand is best for you?

The best advice we can give you is, know your body type and the shape of your breast. Equally keep in mind that FIT is more important than SIZE. That one-time measurement doesn’t stay with you forever. Your bra size and fit also vary within a brand.

Below are our suggestions for the three main body types:

Petite size: These are smaller-cup-size ladies. Sizes generally range from AAA-B cups. Women who wear petite sizes need bras that provide very little support, like a bralette, bandeau, plunge bra and demicup bra. Enhancing bras that create a bigger-looking bust are also recommended, like a push-up and/or padded bra. The below brands are best recommended for this body type, as they manufacture the styles mentioned.

Average Size: These are mid-size-cup ladies. Their sizes range from C-F cups. They mostly need an everyday, supportive bra, like an underwire t-shirt bra or padded half-cup bras. Below are the best brands for average-cup-size women.

Full-Figure Size: These are busty, curvy woman. Their size mostly ranges from G-K Cups. Front closure bras, wireless bras, full coverage bras and longline bras are excellent for the fuller-figured woman. Below are the best brands for this body size.

  • Just My Size

Average number of quantities?

It is worth noting that there is no right and wrong quantity to own. Below is our helpful breakdown of the minimum number of daily and weekly inner wear to own. Certainly you can purchase that fashionable pair, or a pair for special occasions. Here is our attempt at coming up with the optimum number of practical underwear you should own.

There are seven different types of panty: V-strings, thong, cheeky, bikini, brief, hip-hugger and boy short. Depending on your choice of style, these should be two daily— daytime and nighttime. So, for a week you need 14 different panties in all. A one-week supply of underwear is generally agreed upon as a bare minimum number. Research shows that a majority of us wash our underwear while taking a shower. Although this washing style works, we advise that you soak them in lukewarm water for few hours before washing for proper cleaning—or, better still, wash them in the washing machine with like colors.

Every lady’s closet needs the following nine different types of bras: full-coverage, demi-coverage, plunge, push-up, lightly lined, multi-way, bare, sports, and layering. Depending on your choice of clothing style, it is best to alternate bras daily. According to multiple sources, you are never supposed to wear the same bra two days in a row. Apparently, the elastic in your bra needs time between wearings to retract and regain its shape. The takeaway: if your want your bras to last, consider alternating them daily.

Now that you know the quantities you need, don’t wait for a promotion or sale. Spoil yourself and replace old innerwear with a purchase today!
